Patrick Juvet was born in Montreux, Switzerland, on August 21, 1950, to his father, Roberts, and mother, Janine.
He grew up in a nearby La Tour-de-Peilz, with his two siblings, Daniel and Nancy. His father sold radios and televisions, and this sparked Juvet’s interest in music.
From age 7, he began studying piano and developed an interest in “The Beatles.”

In 1968, at the age of 18, Juvet moved to Paris with little money. He later became a model in Germany after a friend encouraged him to try out.
Juvet, for two, pursued a career in modeling in Düsseldorf, Germany. He later returned to Paris in 1970.
The year after, in 1971, he met French music producer Eddie Barclay. Through Eddie’s help, Juvet recorded his first single. He later wrote Claude François’s, “Le Lundi au soleil”.
Later, he began collaborating with French composer and musician Jean-Michel Jarre. The material was featured on Juvet’s new album “Love,” which was released in 1973.
That same year, he represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest. He finished at No.12 in the competition.
Juvet collaborated with Jarre again in 1977 on the French-language album “Paris by Night.” The album featured the hit song “Où sont les femmes?.
He soon experienced international success with the disco tracks “Got a Feeling” and “I Love America,” after working with disco producers Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo in 1978.
In addition, Juvet scored the soundtrack of David Hamilton’s film “Laura.” Although the music from Laura was never released in the United States nor released on compact disc, it nevertheless sold 650,000 copies.
He re-entered the French music scene with his 1982 album,” Rêves immoraux.” However, the album failed to match his previous album’s commercial success.
Due to financial decline, after disco music went out of fashion, Juvet’s success declined.
As a result, he experienced periods of depression and alcoholism and relocated to London from mainland Europe, then to Los Angeles, and in the 1980s, finally back to Switzerland.
In 1991 Juvet returned to Paris, where he continued his career by releasing an album, “Solitudes,” which featured personal emotional songs.

In addition, he released his autobiography, Les Bleus au cœur: Souvenirs (“Bruises on My Heart: Memories”) in 2015. In the autobiography, he spoke extensively about his career and bisexuality. Unfortunately, on April 1, 2021, Patrick Juvet was announced dead.
He was found dead in his apartment in Barcelona, Spain. He died at the age of 70.
