She is the daughter of Antonia Lofaso, an American chef, and Dwight Arrington Myers, popularly called Heavy D.
Her mother, Antonia, has appeared on various reality TV shows like Top Chef, Restaurant Startup, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Chopped. She also co-owns Black Market Liquor Bar.
Xea’s father, Heavy D, was an actor, singer, rapper, and record producer.
He was also the former leader of the group “Heavy D & the Boyz.” Though he’s late now, he died in 2011, aged 44.
The cause of his death is said to be Pulmonary Embolism.
Controversy
When Xea’s father passed away, she was only 11 at that time and his only child.
Her uncle Floyd brought an outdated will and filed a court document seeking control over Heavy D’s estate.
The will, however, didn’t contain Xea’s name. Heavy D’s family then agreed for Floyd to control the estate until Xea became an adult.
