She was born on the 26th of December 1963. Sobola is a Nollywood actress and screenwriter.
Sobowale is equally a producer and director. Shola Shobowale came to the limelight in 2001 in a popular TV drama series Super Story titled Oh Father, Oh Daughter.
The names of her parents are Joseph Olagokun and Esther Olagokun. Her father is a retired secondary school principal, while her mother is a retired school teacher.
So, she grew up into a disciplined individual. She originated from Ondo State, Nigeria.

After her secondary education, she got admitted to the college of education but opted out before completing her studies to pursue her dream in the entertainment world.
She later enrolled at Sight and Sound in Ibadan as a secretary, after which she got admission to study Music at the University of Ibadan; she, however, switched from Music to Theatre Arts in the university. So, Sobowale graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts.

Sola Sobowale played a vital role in the movie titles The Village Headmaster and Mirror in the Sun. She is also well known for her role in Asewo To Re Mecca.
She was formerly a member of the Awada Kerikeri Group and starred in many of its films. The group was under the leadership of Adebayo Salami.
Since she started her acting career, Sobowale has starred in several movies, produced, directed, and scripted many. She is also credited with co-scripting some films.
In 2010, she wrote, produced, and directed a movie titled Ohun Oko Somida. The movie starred several top Nollywood actors, including Adebayo Salami.
In 2004, she starred in a movie titled Dangerous Twins, a film produced by Tade Ogidan. She played a role in Family on Fire and another movie produced and directed by Tade Ogidan.

Sola Sobowale is married with four kids. Her husband, Dotun Sobowale, is the former Executive Director of EKO Hospital, and she migrated to the UK with her husband some 15 years ago.
She is a brand ambassador to several companies, one of which is Mouka Mattress; the company worked with her to advertise its Wellbeing range of mattresses.
