Her father became her caregiver till her death in 2019.

In 2001 Reggie Stephey was sentenced to seven years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of intoxication manslaughter.

Where is Reggie Stephey Today?
While serving his sentence, Reggie worked with Jacqueline on campaigns against drunk driving.
As a result, she became the face of numerous campaigns against drunk driving, and Reggie supported an action even after serving his sentence.
While in prison, he got an associate degree in Philosophy and business; after prison, Reggie Stephey enrolled at the University of Texas as a junior. He also worked part-time at construction jobs.

In April 2019, Jaqueline Saburido’s family announced her death.
