Ooni Ogunwusi Biography
Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is the current Ooni of Ile-Ife, and his title is the Ojaja II.
He is the 51st person to occupy the throne of Ile Ife and was installed as such in 2015, October 26th, to be precise. The former Ooni was the diseased Oba Okunade Sijuwade.

Ooni Ogunwusi Biography – early life
Ooni Ogunwusi was born on October 17th, 1974, and this makes him a very young person and one of the youngest monarchs in the entire country. He attended Subuola Memorial Nursery and Primary School in Ibadan, after which he proceeded to Loyola College Ibadan.
He completed his secondary education in St Peters Secondary School, Ile-Ife. After that, he proceeded to The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he got an admission to study Accounting.
His professional life
Ooni Ogunwusi is currently a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Additionally, he is an Associated Accounting Technician and a certified member of the Institute of Directors. Furthermore, he is a registered member of the Global Real Estate Institute.

As of today, Ooni Ogunwusi boasts of several honorary doctorate degrees, a couple of which are:
- Honorary Doctorate Degree in Law from the Igbinedion University
- Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Additionally, he is the chancellor at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
How he was selected to become the Ooni
After the demise of Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II, it was the turn of the Giesei Ruling House of Ile-Ife.
Some other Ile-Ife indigenes were heirs to the throne, but Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi was selected among them all to ascend to the throne of Oduduwa in Ile Ife.
His coronation took place on October 26th, 2015, and his office staff was presented to him on December 7th, 2015. He has proved himself to be an astute entrepreneur with a drive to transform impossibilities into possibilities.
Consequent to his position as the Ooni of Ife, he becomes the spiritual leader of the entire Yoruba people, and his work saddles him with the responsibility of supplicating to God and the Orisa as a representative of the people.
Most of the supplications occur during the Olojo Festival that takes place yearly.
His achievements since becoming the Ooni
The Alaafin Oyo and Ooni of Ile-Ife were always at loggerhead. But Ooni Ogunwusi brought an end to that upon his ascension to the throne.
Shortly after he became the Ooni, he had a meeting with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, thereby uniting the two Yoruba ancient cities.

Ooni had used every available opportunity to propagate peace and push for development in Yoruba land.
He is also known to be a very humble individual, and many youths recourse to him because of his fatherly figure. Ooni Ogunwusi got married to Zaynab Otiti Obanor, who was his second wife. They were only married from 2016 to 2017.
He later married Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi in October 2018. They have a son together.
