Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi biography – All About The First Class King
He was born on the 21st of June, 1967, and he is the currency monarch of Iwo town in Osun State, Nigeria.
He is a multi-linguist; he speaks series of languages, like Yoruba, English, German and French. He is, therefore, one of the most learned monarchs, not just in the southwestern part of the country but in Nigeria as a whole. He is the 16th traditional ruler to occupy the Oluwo seat. He is also a first-class Oba.
The name of his father is Prince Kola Akanbi. His father is, however, late.

Oba ABdulrasheed Akanbi came from the Molaasan Compound of the Gbaase Ruling House located in Isale Oba, Iwo town, Osun State.
He attended Omolewa Nursery and Primary School at Oritamefa in Ibadan from 1972 to 1978.
Afterward, he went to Iwo Grammar School located in Araromi, Iwo, for his secondary education.
From 1978 to 1982, he completed his secondary education at Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Idi-Ape, Ibadan.
Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi later got admitted to The Polytechnic Ibadan in 1985 to study Mass Communication, and he graduated with an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in 1987.

After that, he proceeded to George Brown College, Toronto, Ontario, for his university education, from where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2009.
Then in 2005, he obtained a Seismic Certificate in Operations, Oil & Gas Processing Facilities.
Upon graduation, he got a Bio-Skin GMBH in Hamburg, Germany, as a Data Processor in 1996.
He remained with the company until 2005. He later joined Oxfam Canada, where he worked as an International Development Analyst, and later Purdy Wharf Towers worked as an Associate Supervisor.
Humanitarian service
Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has expressed his love for humanity in various ways. For example, he contributed to society in different parts of the world before becoming the traditional ruler of Iwo Land.
He traveled around the world on several occasions to provide help and succor to victims of disasters and wars across the globe.
He is known to provide relief materials to refugees around the world.
Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi founded an organization named People Against Loneliness Inc.
He is also the West African Coordinator of Karcher Group FutureTech, and a company committed to supplying future technology gadgets to global peace-keeping forces.

Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi is a Muslim. He got married to Chanel Chin before arriving in Nigeria to be installed as the Oluwo of Iwo.
However, the two of them have separated, and the lady is said to have gone back to her country.
She is a Jamaican and cited domestic violence as her reason for their separation from Oluwo of Iwo.

Since ascending to the throne, there had been several controversies traced to him.
Some adjudge him as the most controversial of all monarchs in Nigeria today.
Aside from the domestic violence he was accused of by his ex-wife, he was also accused of having illicit affairs with the Chief Imam of Iwo, among other controversies.
