Career
Mike started his career when he was 27; he wrote and produced “Dawson’s Creek” and “Freaks and Geeks.”
He also wrote and acted “Chuck &Buck,” “Nacho Libre,” “The Good Girl,” “School of Rock,” and others.
Mike’s role in Chuck & Buck was that of a manchild who stalks his childhood friend. The movie won Entertainment Weekly Best Film of 2000. In 2004, he had a role in the remake of “The Stepford Wives.”
He constantly collaborated with fellow actor and writer Jack Black, and the duo decided to form their production company “Black and White.” Unfortunately, the company closed later in 2006.
Mike was introduced to a project with HBO by Laura Dern, and the project turned out to be the series “Enlightened,” which premiered in 2011.
He wrote both the pilot and the whole episodes in seasons one and two of the series.
Mike also co-wrote the screenplay for the animation “The Emoji Movie,” for which he received a Golden Raspberry Award.

They later returned to The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business and were the second team eliminated in Japan.

He finished the show in second place, behind the winner Nick Wilson.
