Paul was born on 18th November 1981, and he is popularly referred to as Rudeboy. Aside from being a singer, he is a record producer and songwriter.

Paul Okoye and his twin brother, Peter Okoye, attended St Murumba Secondary School, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
While in secondary school, Paul became a drama and music club member, and this was where he started nurturing his dreams of becoming a musician.

He performed covers songs produced by the American music legends MC Hammer, Michael Jackson, and Bobby Brown.
He was doing all these with his twin brother, Peter. However, their rise to fame was not easy.

The two of them later formed a music group called P-Square. They won several awards together, and their spotlight transcends the shores of Nigeria.

Despite the series of awards that P-Square had won together, even though the group members are twins, the center could still not hold, causing things to fall apart.
In 2017, the two brothers went their separate ways, which led to P-Square’s disbandment.
Following the group’s disbandment, King Rudy released his first solo track titled “Fire Fire,” and this was shortly followed by another solo titled Nneji Keke that same year in which P-Square was disbanded.
Then in 2019, he released another single titled Reason With Me. This song was so popular that it received the highest number of views on YouTube for Africans in 2019.
Following the disbandment of P-Square, King Rudy founded his record label named Fire Department Inc. in 2019.
