Early life
Funke Akindele-Bello was born on the 24th of August 1977 in Ikorodu, Lagos State. She is the second born of a family of three children. Her parents had one boy and two girls.
Her mother is a trained medical doctor, and her father was a school principal before his retirement.
Funke Akindele-Bello got admitted to the Manhood Abiola Polytechnic (formerly Ogun State Polytechnic) to study Mass Communication, from where she graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND).
She then got admitted to study Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba.
Acting career
Funke Akindele-Bello started her ascent to the top in the movie industry with her role in the sitcom I Need to Know.
The sitcom was sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). She played the role of Bisi, a curious, intelligent.
It is the movie where she got her nickname, Jenifa.
Since she ventured into the movie industry, Funke Akindele-Bello has featured in more than 200 movies.
