Algeria Beat Senegal 1-0 To Win Afcon final

The Algerian National team beat Senegal to win the African cup of Nations 2019.

The team are celebrating victory as the African cup champion after their 1-0 win in tonight’s final.

This is their first time they hoisted the trophy in more than a decade.

The last time Algeria won the Afcon title was in 1990, which is also the last time they got to the final.

The match kicked off at 20:00 local time from Cairo International stadium.

Algeria took control of the game immediately after the whistle went off.

Two minutes into the game, Baghdad Bounedjah put the ball at the back of the net giving Algeria an early lead.

The senegalese struggled to break the Algerian defence until they won a penalty after a handball which was later ruled off after VAR review.
