Early Life
Lateef Adedimeji was born February 1, 1986, as Adetola Abdullateef Adedimeji, in Isolo, Lagos State, Nigeria, to Kudirat Adedimeji, a trader from Oyo State.
However, he is the fourth child in six children; the media do not know information about his father.
Lateef is a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State. He attended Ire Akari Primary School, Isolo, Lagos State, and later went to Ilamoye Grammar School Okota Lagos, where he obtained his secondary school education.
After secondary school, Lateef enrolled in a performance studio workshop at Onikan Lagos State, where he learned acting.
Subsequently, he attended an NGO program, “Community Life Project,” where he developed his acting and writing skills. He later enrolled in Olabisi Onabanjo University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.

Career
Lateef Adedimeji began acting at 15, appearing in various stage performances.
In 2007, he joined Orisun TV, where he started acting officially and worked as a scriptwriter. While in secondary school, he represented an NGO as an informer and counselor for an HIV/AIDS campaign.
For the campaign, he played the role of an emotional character who often cried a lot, earning him the nickname “Crying Machine.”
He also worked as a TV host for the talk show “Miliki Express.” In 2013, Lateef landed a significant acting role in the film “Kudi Klepto,” a film produced by Yewande Adekoya.
His performance in the film earned him recognition and The Heritage Awards in Atlanta, USA.
This led to the rapid growth of his career. Over time, Lateef has appeared in several movies, the likes of- Yeye Oge (2015), Once Upon a Time (2016), Rinsola Oloko Meta (2017),
Igi Aladi (2018), Bipolar (Amodi) (2018), Eje (Pledge) (2018), Doctor Gaji (2018), Ilu Ominira (2018), Dolabomi (2018), The New Patriots (2020), among others.
He has acted in over 100 movies and has been in the film industry for over 15 years. Lateef is also a brand ambassador for Airtel and Numatville Megacity.
In addition to acting, he also sings and currently has several successful songs to his name.

In 2014, Lateef won the Odua Movie Awards for Best Actor. This was later followed by the 2016 Best of Nollywood Awards for Best Actor in a Lead Role (Yoruba).
That same year, he won the Best Supporting Actor Of The Year (Yoruba).
Subsequently, in 2018 and 2019, Lateef won the Best of Nollywood Awards for Best Actor in a Lead Role (Yoruba) and Best Supporting Actor (Yoruba), respectively.
Furthermore, in October 2021, he named the face of Nollywood Male during the Nigeria Newspaper Night of Honour.
Relationship
Lateef Adedimeji is married to Oyebade Adebimpe, a Nollywood actress. The couple recently tied the knot in a colorful ceremony on December 18, 2021.
