2019 Afcon: Ghana 2-2 Benin
2019 Afcon: Ghana entered the CAF Africa cup of the nation with their highest hope after topping the group during the qualification stage losing only one game with three wins.
Ghana was predicted to win as the favorite, and they’ve won the tournament four times while Benin has never gone past the group stage of the match.
2019 Afcon: Ghana vs. Benin
The match kicked off at 21:00 local time from the Ismailia Stadium, Egypt.
The Les Écureuils took control of the game immediately. The whistle went off.
Poté shot from the center of the box went straight to the back of the net at just two minutes into the game, putting the Les Écureuils leading.

Andre Ayew of the Black stars, however, equalized at the 9th minute.
At the 42nd minute, Jordan Ayew put the black stars ahead with a right-footed shot putting the ball at the net’s back.
Shortly after the half time whistle went off.
At the 54th minute, John Boye was showed the second yellow card after a foul leaving the black stars with ten men against the Les Écureuils.
At the 62nd minute, Mickaël Poté shot from the center box equalized the game with Ghana’s black stars.
With one man down, Ghana was able to keep the match without loosing, picking up a point.
