There are some downsides to the position that many people don’t think about. Over time, actors have gotten hurt due to a stunt gone wrong or, in worse cases dying on a film set.
Well, we all have heard instances of actors dying on location, which is unfortunate; some, fortunately, escape a near-death experience on stage, like the following actors.

- Michael J. Fox – Back to the Future III
To convincingly look like one who is dying while hung, actor Michael J.
Fox performed the scene in “Back to the Future III without standing on a box. However, the actor accidentally let go of his hand on the rope and passed out for 30 seconds after choking.
While he was stopping, the production crew thought he was still acting. Only after he passed out did they realize it was for real.

Tom Cruise does his stunt to make them as authentic as possible, but some of these stunts have almost cost him his life.
Like that in Edge Of Tomorrow. The brake in the car Emily Blunt was driving stopped functioning while Tom was in the passenger seat. As a result, their car crashed into a tree.
- Jackie Chan in Police Story
Actor Jackie Chan is also known to perform his stunts himself. Out of all the dangerous actions he has committed, “Police Story” almost got his life.
At the end of the movie, Jackie Chan jumped onto a metal pole with many light bulbs and slid down.
While doing that, the wiring got wrong, and the bulbs exploded, leaving the actor cracked vertebrae, dislocated pelvis, and burnt hands.

I can remember watching this scene with an amazed expression on my face, although back then, I never knew how dangerous shooting it was.
Actress Isla Fisher had to escape a fish tank she was chained to avoid being eaten by piranhas.

She had to swim to the bottom of the tank to get the release switch.

In The Wizard of Oz, the makeup used for Margaret Hamilton’s custome had petroleum in it, and there was a cloud of smoke throughout the film.
In one of the scenes, Margaret got stuck in a trap door that wouldn’t open. She caught on fire from the sparks and had to be hospitalized for second and third-degree burns.

The action scenes in this movie were great because the actors were hitting each other for real.
For the final punch, Sylvester Stallone asked Lundgren to hit him as hard as possible.
The actor did precisely that. Unfortunately, that punch landed Sylvester Stallone in the hospital for eight days due to the heart’s swelling.

While shooting “Expendables 3”, a scene involved actor Jason Statham driving a truck. Unfortunately, the car developed a brake malfunction. While Statham was going it, the actor had to jump out of the vehicle as it plunged into the sea.
- Jaimie Alexander – Thor: The Dark World
Actress Jaimie Alexander took a nasty fall while filming “Thor: The Dark World.”
The scene was being shot early in the morning after a rainfall that left the actress’s metal staircase to climb wet.
As a result, Jaimie slipped and displaced her disc, chipped 11 vertebrae, dislocated her left shoulder, tore her left side rhomboid abs, and had to be hospitalized for a month.

While shooting a fight scene in the film “The Call,” actress Halle Berry fell and hit her head on a concrete floor and was knocked out. The actress was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, she didn’t sustain any lasting injuries.
- Diane Kruger – Inglorious Basterds
To make a strangulation scene real, the director decided to strangle actress Diane Kruger himself. Tarantino, who was the director of the movie, squeezed the actress’s throat longer than necessary, causing her to lose consciousness.
