Suspected Bandits killed catholic priest, by setting him on fire

Reverend Father David Tanko was killed this morning and his body was set on fire by suspected bandits.

According to reports, the priest was on his way to Takum for peace meeting before his vehicle was attacked.

The incident happened at Kufai Amadu in Takum, Taraba state.

This is coming two weeks after  Reverend Elisha Noma of Nagarta Baptist Church in Chikun local government of kaduna state was abducted.

According to his son who witnessed the horrific ordeal,

They then forced their way into houses and vandalised properties. They carted away some valuables including mobile phones and clothing in my mother’s box.

“They picked me together with my father.

But after a while into the bush, I was released and they went away with my father.

One of them was dressed in military camouflage.

“We are yet to report to the police because even when we had similar experience in the past and we contacted them, they did not do anything about it. So, it is of no use.”
