Finding out about some famous stars’ life before fame or childhood stories can give you goosebumps.
Many people envy celebrities, want to be like them due to the fame, appearance, and money, but if you know what some of these celebrities went through while growing up, you would see that they never had it easy.
Many of them had a terrible childhood, and a parent abandoned some.
Others were raped, living in poverty, and even witnessed the murder of a parent.
So not all star’s rise to fame story is as impressive as you would expect.
The following celebrities’ biography sounds more like a movie, but they are as natural as it can get.

At the age of 15, Charlize Theron witnessed her father’s death, and her mother shot him.
Although she looks nothing like it, the famous actress came from a troubled home; her father was an alcoholic who constantly abused her mother.
During one of her parent’s fights, her father bought out a gun and threatened to kill Charlize and her mom.
While her father was shooting into the air, her mother took the gun from him and shot him; her action was considered self-defense, so no charges were made against her.

“Charmed” star Rose McGowan has experienced many tragedies in life right from her early age.
After witnessing her parent’s divorce at the age of 14, Rose found herself living with her mother.
It wasn’t a good experience for the actress as one of her mother’s boyfriends tried to get rid of her by lying that she was a drug addict and convincing her mom to send her to a clinic.
After being sent to the clinic, Rose managed to escape and stayed with her grandmother.
She left her grandmother’s at the age of 16 and started to live with her boyfriend while working three different jobs.
Unfortunately, her boyfriend died, so she became homeless, sleeping on the street.
One would think it can only get better. Unfortunately, Rose was involved in a terrible accident in 2007; the glass from the windshield injured her eyes and face.
Thankfully surgeons were able to restore her vision and look.

Jim’s family witnessed financial trouble while he was still in school.
His father left his old job and started a new one at a factory that made wheels.

The entire family worked in the factory; Jim and his siblings washed the toilets and cleaned the floors.
After his parents decided to leave the job, they all had to live in an RV, and at that time, his mother had a psychological disorder.
She imagined she had a disease that she didn’t have.
Jim’s first attempt in comedy was a complete failure, even the crowd was furious, but now, he is one of the best there is in Hollywood.

Her biological father left before she was born; when the actress was three months, her mother remarried.
Her stepfather constantly changed jobs, so they had to move a lot. Aside from this, he was into gambling, where he loses all his money, plus he and her mother had an alcohol addiction problem.
Demi wore braces as a child and had crossed eyes, so she constantly had to deal with being bullied.
Fortunately for her, her mother was able to save money for her eyes to be corrected.
After the birth of her stepbrother, life became unbearable for Demi Moore as she often ran away from home.
At the age of 15, her parents divorced; two years later, her stepdad committed suicide.
At the age of 16, Demi left home for good and got married to famous rock star Freddy Moore.

Oprah’s mom was a housemaid who had no time to raise her daughter.
So Oprah spent the first six years living with her grandmother, but soon after, her mother took her back, and they lived in an old ghetto in Milwaukee.
At the age of nine, Oprah was molested by her cousins, uncle, and friend. She later had problems with her mom which resulted in her running away from home at 14.

Then she became pregnant and delivered a premature baby that died soon after.
After this incident, her mother sent Oprah to live with her father, which led to her establishing her career.

Coming from a poor home, Woody and his family depended on his mother’s salary, who worked as a secretary.
His parents divorced while the actor was three years old; at age four, his father was sentenced to prison for murder.
When his father got out, he was still involved in some illegal activities, so while the actor was 18 years old, his father was rearrested, this time for the murder of a district huge which he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
In 2007, Woody’s father was found dead in his cell, with no signs of violence or struggle.
