Punch Newspaper Cartoonist was sacked over offensive cartoon of Pastor Fatoyinbo.

After more than a decade of service, the cartoonist for punch newspaper, Martin Ayankola found himself out of a job.

Martin has been with Punch Newspaper since 2012, making him the longest serving editor with the media house.

The Punch newspaper is yet to apologise for the offensive cartoon.

The cartoon published last Thursday on the back of the Newspaper was the reason he was fired according to reports.

The cartoon portrayed a man urinating on what could be referred to as a holy bible causing outrage amongst the readers. The appearance of such a cartoon in the mainstream publication is offensive to the christian community.

Saturday Editor, Olabisi Deji-Folutile was also asked to resign for the role he played in publishing the article.

The opinion was written by Abimbola Adelakun, with the title “What Does Mrs. Fatoyinbo Know.

This is not the first time the Newspaper has been in controversies, the Editorial cartoon published early this year cause a public outrage after portraying an offensive Logo of the political party APM
