Ongoing 100m euro hunt for Victor Osimhen deems to be Africa’s most expensive player.
Undoubtedly, Osimhen has impressed his club Lille FC after scoring 15 goals with four assists this season.
He has been linked with top European football clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool and Barcelona.
Talking to the media over the weekend, Osimhen said he’s still trying to improve himself as a player and as a person.
I am loyal to Lille, and they are in charge of my future, and they decide if I stay or go, he said.
For me, I think I deserve it, and Lille deserves it also.
From the start of the season, I have been working quite hard to get to where I am today, to get recognition in France.
I am not in the best position to say I’m worth this or not, Lille will decide anytime they want to sell me.
Osimhen has been one of the most in-form African players in the world game so far this term, scoring ten goals in the space of 19 matches for LOSC Lille and Nigeria after moving from Wolfsburg July 2019.
After scoring 20 goals in Belgium last season, Osimhen was delighted to follow compatriots Peter Odemwingie and Vicent Enyeama.
He adapted seamlessly to life in a new league, country, club, and city. Even if his form has dipped in recent weeks, the 20-year-old has already dramatically over-performed since moving to France for an undisclosed fee reported to be €12 million.
