Baba Suwe, Popular Comic Actor, Returns To Nigeria After His Diabetes Treatment

Nollywood actor and comedian, Babatunde omidina, professionally known as Baba Suwe has returned back to Nigeria.

He went to the united state of America to complete his diabetes treatment.

Omidina’s career nose dive after he was arrested at the Muritala Muhammed airport allegedly trying to smuggled out an illegal substance back in 2011 by the drug law enforcement agency (NDLEA).

He was in custody for over three weeks, however the Lagos state high court ruled in favour of the comic actor ordering the NDLEA to compesate the actor and also tender a public apology for detaining him unlawfully. 

In a viral video on social media, Baba Suwe claimed he hasn’t received neither the compesation or the public apology.

Yomi Fabiyi, a Nollywood actor announced this on social media. he said

He survived it, referring to the comedian.

“Baba Suwe Survived! He made it and near 100% recovery”.

His statement reads:

“Without going into individual details, on behalf of Baba Suwe and his family, I want to thank everyone for playing a vital role. Hopefully, his health restores to full capacity in no distance time, so as to enable him to return to the screen. With tears of joy and gratitude, he sends his sincere heartfelt appreciation to you all.


“This update should be the near-final public information I will be supplying on this matter. I must thank you all (Nollywood Artists, fans and well-wishers especially) for trusting me to give you required updates on this, much valued. I shall lose no time to supply any further or additional vital information if and when needed in the future.”
