Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are currently in court over the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards pandemonium which occurred at last last edition of the awards scheme.
The most original artistes at the joint press conference yesterday advice and educate the youths to be careful, be of a good behavior and avoid trouble no matter what is at stake because nobody is above the law.
Speaking at a press conference to announce a unity concert dubbed: “Ghana First” with Shatta Wale at the Marriott Hotel in Accra on Tuesday, Stonebwoy said it was a flawed impression that some people were above the law and could avoid sanctions when they go wrong.
“I want everyone out there to know that there are laws in Ghana and they work. It is a wrong misconception that some people are above the law. From experience, I can say the police are doing their jobs well. The truth is that you will never know till you are actually caught in it.
“Our attitude actually matters and we need to change how we behave towards people because it says a lot about us.
“The best thing for us to do is work on our flaws and shortcomings because it is an important aspect of life. We need to change it so the police can work, the law can work and that will bring peace and unity in the country,” he stated.
The BET award winning artiste also added that the media played a vertile role in making the ShattaStone beef what it is today.
“Instead of using their medium to promote peace between us, they found pleasure in thriving on the ‘beef’ between my brother and I which intensified the rivalry. They could have promoted us in a positive way and perhaps, we may have been united than divided,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the influential Dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, are to hold a unity concert dubbed: ‘Ghana First’ after smoking the peace pipe. The date for the concert is yet to be announced.
