10 Nigerian Celebrities Who Are Guinness World Records Holders
Guinness World Records refers to the honor given to those who do the extra-ordinary in different fields or possess a unique personality.
This record is world-recognized, due to its uniqueness, many try to be record holder by doing the impossible, not all succeed, but the few who do gets worldwide recognition.
In Nigeria, we have several celebrities who holds various records in the Guinness Book of records, today we will be looking at their records and achievement:

- Haruna Abdulazeez
Haruna is a Nigerian athlete who made a Guinness World Record in sports. He holds the record for the most hit of a tennis ball with a tennis racket handle in one minute.

Haruna records about 187 hits of a tennis ball with a tennis racket handle. He broke this record in December 2018.
- Adetunwase Adenle
With four records under different categories, Adetunwase Adenle has made Nigeria proud. He holds the record for the most significant painting, which many people painted.
The image is said to be as big as a football field. It was painted by 350 volunteers, who painted the Nigerian map. It is measured at about 63.5 and 49.3 meters.
He holds the record for the most significant football jersey in the world.
He also has a history of training 300,000 students from 600 public schools to brush their teeth and wash their hands.
Adetunwase’s fourth record was awarded for creating the most significant office stamp made for Lagos State on her 50th anniversary.
- Joshua Usoro
Popularly known as Jason, Joshua Usoroh holds the Guinness World Record for the longest dance marathon relay. He broke the record on April 6, 2019, when he danced for 53 hours, 28 minutes, and 47 seconds in Lagos, Nigeria.
- Stephen Keshi
Stephen Keshi holds the record for being the youngest person to win the Africa Cup of Nations as a player and as a coach. He had this record until he died in 2016.
- Harrison Chinedu
This talented footballer broke the Guinness World Record for the farthest distance walk with a ball on the head. Harrison walked 48. 04 kilometers in six hours, fifteen minutes on March 6, 2016.

- Obi Ajuonuma
Obi Ajuonuma broke the world record for the most extended ever DJ set.
He broke this Guinness World Record in 2016 when he achieved this feat over a period of 240 hours at a cafe in Lagos, Nigeria.
It garnered him a nomination for the Future Awards Africa Prize for Creative Professional.
- Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau
Professionally known as Kaffy, in 2006, she set the record for the most extended dance, when she danced for fifty-two hours and three minutes without stopping.
The record was broken in the ‘Longest Dance Social Gathering” at the Nokia Sliverbird Danceathon. Kaffy is recognized as the queen of dance in Africa.
- Chidera Anamege
Chidera Anamege, popularly known by his stage name Chiddy Bang, is an American-based Nigerian rapper.
In 2011, he broke Guinness World Record for the Longest Freestyle Rap, where he rapped for 9 hours and 18 minutes, beating the previous record of 9 hours and 15 minutes held by M-Eighty.
- Tuedon Morgan
Nigerian ultramarathon runner Tuedon Morgan holds two Guinness World Records.
For the fastest time for a woman to run a half marathon on each continent, which was ten days, 23 hours, and 37 minutes.
Her second record is for the fastest time for a woman to run a half marathon on each continent and the North Pole, sixty-two days, twelve hours, fifty-eight minutes, and forty-nine seconds.
- Sandra Ikeji
Event planner and sister to famous Nigerian billionaire blogger Linda Ikeji, Sandra Ikeji, broke the Guinness World Record on January 11, 2020, where she had the most number of bridesmaids to one bride.
Sandra tied the knot with her beau in Lagos, Nigeria, and had 200 bridesmaids on her bridal train, which sets her in the Guinness Book Of World Records.
