Nigeria beat South Africa 2-1 to qualify for the Semi-Final

The match kicked off at 20:00 local time from Cairo International stadium.

With two changes from the team that beat Cameroon 3-2 at their last match.

The super Eagles took control of the game immediately after the whistle went off.

At the 13th minute, the game’s first yellow card was given to South African Lebo Mothiba.

Twenty-seven minutes into the match, Samuel Chukwueze put the Super Eagles ahead, placing the ball at the back of the net after the defender blocked his first attempt. 

At the 35th minute, the game’s second yellow card was given to Ahmed Musa of the Super Eagles.

Three minutes into the second half, South African Thulani Hlatshwayo was shown a yellow card.

At the 70th minute, Bongani Zungu put the ball at the back of the net equalizing for the Bafana Bafana.

At the 88th minute, Troost-Ekong scored, putting Nigeria back to the top.

Nigeria will face the winner between Algeria or Ivory Coast in their Semi-Final.

Impressive Nigerians football fans have been showing enormous support for the Super Eagles.
