Early Life – Kyle Larson age
Kyle Larson was born July 31, 1992, in Elk Grove, California, to Mike and Janet Larson.
His parents were equally fans of car racing, as at just a week old, baby Kyle was taken to his first car racing game.
The race driver is of Japanese-American ethnicity as his mother is said to have roots in Japanese.
However, Kyle’s love for car racing began from a young age. At seven, he had started racing in outlaw karts in Northern California.
As a teenager, he later moved to race open-wheel cars and became a part of the sprint cars and the United States Auto Club (USAC) midget, Silver Crown.
He competed for Keith Kunz Motorsports and Hoffman Racing with Toyota backing, racing in World of Outlaws Sprint cars.
Kyle won his first Sprint car race at the Placerville Speedway, one of the youngest drivers ever to compete.

In 2011, Kyle won the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway, winning all three types of USAC cars in a single night, making him the second driver in history to win this feat.
He later won two Silver Crown races that same year, receiving the 2011 Rookie of the year award.
In 2012, he also won six USAC National Midget races, including the Turkey Night Grand Prix.
In 2012, he was signed as one of the team drivers for that year’s racing season by Earnhardt Ganassi Racing (EGR). In February 2012, Kyle won the Pete Orr Memorial Orange Blossom 100 at New Smyrna Speedway.
A week later, he won the World Series of Asphalt. Then, he ran full time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, driving for Rev Racing, winning the K&N Pro Series East at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia.
On June 15, 2012, he debuted in ARCA Racing Series at Michigan International Speedway, where he drove for Eddie Sharp Racing, finishing 13th place at the event.
This was later followed by a win in the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East finishing with two wins and twelve top ten in 14 races he participated in.
He was later named the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Rookie of the Year. Subsequently, in 2013, Kyle won his first Truck Series at Rockingham Speedway.
He, however, emerged the winner of ARCA on June 7, 2014, at Pocono Raceway from the pole. In 2016, driving truck No. 24 part-time for GMS Racing, Kylie finished winning at Eldora Speedway.
In 2020, the car race star rejoined GMS Racing for the Homestead race but was later suspended and fired.
After his suspension, following his choice of words, Kyle returned to the Truck Series, driving the No.44 truck for Niece Motorsports in 2021 at the new Bristol dirt race.
So far, the car racer is back in the spotlight, this time for his big wins, as he has recorded several of them, including the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

Kyle is currently married to Katelyn Sweet, the sister of car race driver Brad Sweet. Katelyn is a skincare consultant.
It is assumed that the couple had met through Brad Sweet, a good friend of Kyle. Although the exact year the relationship began isn’t known, the couple has been together for a very long period.
The couple welcomed their first child in 2014, a son named Owen Miyata Larson. Then, on December 22, 2017, Kyle and Katelyn got engaged.
According to the car racer, the marriage proposal was long overdue.
In May 2018, the couple welcomed their second child, Audrey Layne Larson, and a wedding later followed this in September of the same year.
Controversy
On April 13, 2020, Kyle was suspended by CGR indefinitely without pay when it was learned that during an iRacing event, Kyle believing he had lost communication, stated, “You can’t hear me? Hey, nigger,”.
This suspension news was soon followed by NASCAR, who also suspended him indefinitely and ordered him to go through sensitivity training before he would be allowed to race again.
World of Outlaws also suspended the car racer. In addition, multiple corporations also terminated their sponsorship with him, McDonald’s, Credit One Bank, and Chevrolet.
As a result of this termination by sponsors, Kyle was fired by CGR.
In October 2020, the race star posted a very long apology for his actions on his social media pages, stating clearly that his slur words did not represent his person.
