Judith Adele Finnigan, professionally known as Judy Finnigan, was born May 16, 1948, in Newton Heath, Manchester, England, United Kingdom.
She has an older brother, Callum, and a younger one known as Roger. Growing up, Judy attended Briscoe Lane Primary School, from which she enrolled at the Manchester High School for Girls.
She later attended the University of Bristol, where she studied English language and Drama.

Career
Judy began her career in 1971 after becoming a part of Granada Television, where she worked as a researcher.
Subsequently, she got a job as a reporter at Anglia Television Norwich, making her the first woman to attain this position.
In 1980, she returned to Granada Television and became a presenter for various shows, including “Granada Reports, Flying Start, and Scramble.”
In 1988, Judy became the host of “This Morning ” show alongside Richard Madeley.
The two-hours weekday show soon became a success and won the Daytime Programme accolade at the National Television Awards in 2000.
The pair hosted the show until 2001 when another set of hosts took over. After that, however, they still made appearances on the show, this time as special guests.

In 2001, they began hosting the “Richard & Judy” show on Channel 4, similar to their previous performance.
Like “This Morning,” Richard & Judy’s show became a success and lasted for seven years before coming to an end in 2008.

After the show’s end, they tried to make a comeback with a new show, titled “Richard and Judy’s New Position.”
