Jade Castrinos was born in 1980 in Los Angeles, California; her precise date of birth isn’t known.
The American singer was raised in Las Flores Canyon, Malibu, where she completed her early education.
She has, however, not offered any information about her parents, other than, they were a significant influence in her career in music.
She revealed that her mother played music almost every morning, while her father was a former band member, although the singer doesn’t mention the band name.

Jade’s love for music began from quite an early age; when she was six, she carved her name into one of her father’s Les Paul guitars; from that point, her father decided to teach her everything he knew about music.
Her music career officially began at 11, when she became a singer and songwriter in her father’s band.
In 2005, Jade, alongside Alexander Ebert, co-founded the band “Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeros.
They became an official band in 2007, where she continued her role as a songwriter and vocalist.
On July 18, 2007, Jade rose to fame when Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros played their first show at West Hollywood, California, at the Troubadour.
A few years after that, their debut studio album “Up from below” was released in July 2009.
The album was very successful, receiving praise from both critics and fans, earning rank No.76 on the Billboard 200, No.86 on Australia Chart, 56 on UK Album, and No.132 on the Canadian chart.
After the successful debut album, three more albums, “Here,” “Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros,” and “PersonA” were released.
