I did not shun the official launch of Operation Amotekun – Gov. Dapo Abiodun
Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has debunk the rumour that he shunned the launch of Operation Amotekun.
Gov. Abiodun revealed this while talking to the media at the memorial service of Rev. Adebola Daniel.
Abiodun said the story of him shunning the official launch of Operation Amotekun is not only false but incorrect.
The regional security agency was drafted and organised by the south west governors in the wake of bandits and headsmen terrorising the region.

The All progressives congress leader, Chief Bola Tinubu, Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, Lagos State governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu and Ogun State governor Dapo Abiodun shunned the event without any explanation.
Official launch of Operation Amotekun was held on Thursday in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Amotekun is meant to be controlled and operated by the Nigerian Police Force as a joint effort between the Vigilantes, Hunters, and the security agencies.
Each state donated 20 vehicles to the operation, and the headquarters will be at Ibadan, Oyo State.
