Human remains found in the search of the missing Takoradi girls
Ghanaian police retrieved bodies believed to be of the Takoradi girls declared missing late last year.
The victims identified as Ruthlove Quayson, Priscilla Koranchie, and Priscilla Blessing Bentum was declared missing around August 2018.
It was alleged that a Nigerian who is believed to be the kidnapper led the police to a property where the bodied were found in a septic tank at Kasaworodo yesterday night.
In a statement issued by the Criminal Investigations Department spokesperson, DSP Juliana Obeng, states that the human remains will be sent to the forensic science laboratory to confirm the identity of the bodies found.
As part of investigations into the three (3) Takoradi kidnapped girls, the Criminal Investigation Department and the Western Regional Command earlier this evening August 2, 2019, conducted an operation at Kansaworodo, a suburb of Takoradi,” the police statement said.
During the operation which took place at about 7 pm, some human remains were retrieved from a septic tank at an uncompleted building. The building was previously occupied by convict Samuel Udeotuk-Wills who is one of the accused persons standing trial for allegedly kidnapping the three (3) Takoradi girls,” the police statement added.
