Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt, Ben Affleck, was born on August 15, 1972, in Berkeley, California, US. He was born into the family of Timothy Byers Affleck, a photographer, and Christine Anne, a school teacher.
Before Ben’s birth, his parents separated and officially divorced in 1984. After the divorce, Ben moved to Massachusetts with his siblings.
His love for acting started at an early age, and in 1984 Ben appeared in a “Burger King” advertisement. He later landed a role in the series “The Voyage of the Mini,” a science show about the Mini crew exploring the ocean.
Ben attended the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, and it was there he met his close friend Matt Damon, a fellow actor and co-writer who was two years older than him.
They spent their teenage years drinking and smoking pot before Ben got roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “School Ties” in the ’90s.
