His name is Bright Okpocha, and he was born on the 14th of September 1978 in Lagos state. He is an actor and a comedian and has made an impact in both areas.
He has been involved in organizing series of standup comedy concerts in various cities in Nigeria and even beyond the country’s shores.

Where is Basketmouth from?
He hails from Abia State, Nigeria but was born in Lagos State, as mentioned earlier. He had both his primary and secondary educations in Lagos State, Apapa, to be precise.
Upon graduation from secondary school, he proceeded to the University of Benin in Edo State, where he studied Sociology and Anthropology.
He also has a drumming skill, a skill he discovered as far back as 1991. He is also into rapping, and he found his rapping skill in 1994.
Then in 1995, Basketmouth formed a rapping group called Da Psychopaths, and the group was made up of 7 members. The group, however, did not release any material before they broke up.
After that, he formed another group named Da Oddz with Muyiwa Ola-Phillips and his brother Godwin Okpocha. Unfortunately, the new team did not experience any breakthrough despite hosting a couple of shows.
It is because Nigerians did not accept their brand.

He is into music. He has a record label named Barons World Entertainment, which he formed in 2014. He has even released an album under the umbrella of his record label.
