Arrest warrant issued for Innoson CEO, Innocent Chukwuma over alleged fraud.
The Federal high court in Lagos have issued an arrest warrant for the Entrepreneur and Chief Executive officer of the Innoson Group of companies and two others, over alleged fraud.
This isn’t his first run-in with the law, he was earlier charged with N2.4 billion fraud in 2016 before the case was taken over by the Attorney General of the federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
The Presiding judge, Justice Ayokunle Faji issued the bench warrant earlier today.

He is accused of falsifying a shipping clearance document in order to obtain a N2.4 billion loan from the guaranty trust bank.
The crime was allegedly committed at Apapa wharf, Lagos on the 10th of october 2013.
He was indicted for falsifying documents as collateral to Guaranty trust bank Plc in order to obtain loan which is punishable under law according to sections 1(2) (c) and 3(6) of the miscellaneous offences act, cap M17, laws of the federation 2004.
The defence counsel had argued, urging the court to dismiss the application as the court lacked jurisdiction to arraign their client.
Justice Ayokunle Faji however issued a bench warrant, He said
“I hereby order as follows: warrant of arrest is hereby issued against Innocent Chukwuma, Charles Chukwuma and Sunny Anajekwe,”
The case is adjourned till June 28.
