Amotekun solidarity walk: Massive protest at Ojota, Ekiti, Ondo 

On Tuesday, the supporters of Amotekun, a security outfit in the southwest region, staged a massive protest across the region.

The director of contacts and mobilization, Comrade Victor Taiwo, had on Saturday issued a statement calling the Yorubas to come in their large numbers to stage the protest in support of Operation Amotekun.

The protest organized by Yoruba World Congress (YWC), led by Senator Banjo Akintoye, organized the protest in Lagos, Abeokuta, Osogbo, Akure, and Ado-Ekiti.

Heavily armed police officers took over Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota as early as 7:00 am on Tuesday.

Subsequently, the supporters of the movement took over the Olaiya junction in Ondo State.

The protesters were brandishing sheets and placards that say, “Amotekun has come to stay.”

Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association of Nigeria had sent a warning to the southwest governors over Amotekun.

The Fulani herdsmen National secretary, Alhassan Saleh said this during an interview with a punch on Wednesday said;

They should give up on this idea because it may affect the chances of the 

South-West to produce the President in 2023, he stated.
