Darez MarSean Diggs was born in Washington, D.C., on the 18th of December, 1995.
He was born into the family of Aron and Stefanie Diggs. He was raised with his siblings, Stefon Diggs and Trevon Diggs.
He enrolled at the Edison Friendship Academy in the US to complete his high school education. He later attended Iowa Community College before passing through the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCA) to further his studies.
Career
Darez had his eyes set on being a professional football player at a young age.
In his senior year of high school, he helped his school team win the city championship. In 2012, he was coached by Aazar Abdul Rahim, who described him as the best blocking receiver on his team.
Darez decided to join the Morgan State Bears in 2013 and played the positions of defensive back and wide receiver.
Later in 2015, after turning down offers from prestigious leagues like the Buffalo Bills and the West Virginia Mountains, he chose to play for the University of Alabama Blazers (UAB).
In the same year, he earned the title of NJCAA First Team All-American after appearing in 32 games in just one season.
His talent in the league did not go unnoticed, as he was later ranked 5th, 12th, and 123rd for best football prospect in D.C., best cornerback, and top player nationally.
Darez was then drafted by the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Lions. He was later traded from the Lions to the Seahawks.
Although Darez isn’t where he is supposed to be in the league, he did have an opportunity to be a part of the XFL in 2020 when he joined the L.A. Wildcats as a safety.
