Early Life
Teniola Apata was born on the 23rd of December 1992 in Lagos State, Nigeria.
She is the younger sister of Niniola, a renowned Nigerian singer who competed in the Project Fame West Africa 6th Season.
Teni’s father, a retired Nigerian Brigadier, was assassinated in front of his family in 1995. She attended Apata Memorial High School, a school owned by her father.
She started singing at a very young age, and her mother had to restrict her from going full time into the music industry, stating she ought to finish school first. She then obtained a degree in Business Administration at the American InterContinental University.

She is sometimes called Teni the entertainer or Teni Makanaki. She started her career by freestyling on her Instagram account constantly.
In 2016, she debuted with the single “Amen,” a widely received song upon release, under ” Shizzi’s Magic Fingers Records,” which she was signed to at that time.
