Nicole fell in love with acting from quite a tender age. At 7, she was enrolled in dance classes and performed in Off-Broadway and Broadway productions at the First All-Children’s Theatre.
In 1982, her father moved the family upstate to Middleburgh, New York.
There, Nicole attended a high school in Middleburgh; after graduation in 1987, she enrolled at Northwestern University, where she majored in Theatre.
While studying, she worked two jobs to lay her way through college and wrote plays and sketches for the student theatre.
Nicole studied at the British American Drama Academy in London, later becoming a member of the Greenwich Shakespeare Company.
