She was born Tiwatope Savage on the 5th February 1980. She is a songwriter and singer. She is equally an actress.
Her parents were residing in Isale Eko when she was born. She, however, relocated to London when she was 11, where she had her secondary school education.

Savage started her singing career as a teenager; that was five years after she migrated to the U.K. She began as a backup singer to great artists in the U.K., including Mary J Blige and George Michael.
She took part in the U.K. edition of The X Factor. She enrolled at the Berklee College of Music and entered into a publishing agreement in 2009 with Sony/AT. Music Publishing.
Savage came back to Nigeria because Nigeria’s music industry inspired her. On her arrival to Nigeria, she signed a record deal with Mavin Records in 2012.

She was one of the talents featured in Solar Plexus, an album released by Mavin Records in 2012.
Savage released her first album on the 3rd July 2013, titles Once Upon a Time. The album consists of seven singles, which are:

The album was so popular that it was nominated for the Best Album of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. The album also received the Best R&B/Pop Album award at the 2014 edition of The Headies.
Savage released her second album titled R.E.D. on 19th December 2015. The album comprises two singles, namely:

- Standing Ovation
Tiwa Savage then signed a record deal with Roc Nation in June 2016. Then she released another album in 2017 titles Sugarcane. Both Sugarcane and R.E.D. got nominations at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards for the Best Album.
Then, in November 2028, Tiwa Savage finally won the award for the Best act at the 2018 edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards. She was the first woman ever to win the prize. Then in 2020

Savage got married to Tunji Balogun, popularly called Tee Billz, and they had their traditional wedding in November 2013 at the Ark in Lekki.
They had their white wedding in April 2014 in Dubai. The marriage produced a son about a year after the white wedding.
However, the marriage was controversial, following the husband accusing Tiwa Savage of infidelity in April 2016. He went further also to blame his mother-in-law for witchcraft.

Savage debunked the infidelity accusation on her path but accused her husband of abandonment, drug addiction, and financial recklessness.
She concluded her defense by saying that her marriage to him was over. The two had not come back together since then.
