His real name is Adekunle Kosoko, but he adopted the stage name of Adekunle Gold. He is a famous songwriter and musician. He is equally into graphic designing.
His musical career started early and be could only come to the limelight in 2014. Since then, he had remained relatively popular in the Nigerian music industry.

Adekunle Gold was born on 28th January 1987. He is the first child of his parents and hailed from a Lagos royal family.
He spent his early days in Ikotun and Ifako-Agege, where he was raised.
His parents were teachers; after graduating from secondary school, he was admitted into the Lagos State Polytechnic to study Arts and Industrial Design.

His musical career began way back when he was a member of his local church choir; he became a choir when he was 11 years old.
He had the likes of Evangelist Ebenezer Obey and King Sunny Ade as his sources of inspiration. In 2007, Adekunle Gold wrote his first song after he became a member of a singing group.
The group worked together to feature the likes of GT Da Guitarman and Skales. However, that musical group was later disbanded.
After the disbandment, Adekunle Gold went silent but was writing songs in the background. He later released the song titled “Sade” in December 2014.
This song formed the cover of Story of My Life. The positive reviews on this song were so many, and they still keep on coming to date. In fact, the music got a nomination for The Headies in 2015.

So, the former offered him a deal, and he became a part of YBNL Nation on 5th March 2015. It was followed by the release of his studio album titled “Gold.”
