10 Celebrities Banned from Other Countries

Due to the nature of their jobs, celebrities travel around the world. Sometimes stars find out that everyone does not love them through these trips as they are often denied visas into a country.

If “Queen Bey” herself and innocent-looking ‘Selena Gomez” can be banned from gaining entry into certain countries, then indeed, no celebrity is loved by all.

The following stars have been banned from certain parts of the world; read on to find out the reason behind this decision.

According to the authority, the sunflower was the symbol of a student movement against the Chinese trade agreement in 2014 (The Sunflower Student Movement).

The ban prevented her from performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai.

  • Selena Gomez: China and Russia

The young actress and singer were reportedly banned from China in 2006 after a picture she took with the Dalai Lama surfaced.

Her visa to Russia was also denied due to her stance on gay rights. This refusal cost her a performance at St. Petersburg’s Ice Palace.

  • Kesha: Malaysia

According to the Malaysian authority, Kesha holding a concert in the country will culturally and religiously hurt the country, so she was banned from entering, and the authorities denied her visa request.

Banned from Other Countries: Justin Bieber
  • Justin Bieber: China and Argentina

Some years ago, American singer Justin Bieber had lots of controversies concerning his behavior in public.

It was one reason the Chinese authority thought it would be wise not to grant him a visa into the country in 2017.

In a statement released, the singer was labeled “a badly behaved entertainer.”

The singer also allegedly assaulted a photographer and disrespected the country’s flag while in Argentina, so the government made sure he wasn’t granted access in the future.

Beyonce
Banned from Other Countries: Beyoncé
  • Beyoncé: Malaysia

The reason for Queen Bey’s ban from Malaysia was too much sexiness.

She had to cancel her already fixed Malaysian concert due to her dance routine.
