5 Nigerians sentenced to 14 years in prison for BT fraud in UK
Five Nigerians has been jailed for 14 years for BT fraud in the UK. Three others also sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court.
The suspects gained access to as many as 2,000 BT customer’s account to carry out their fraud.
Information received was used to purchased luxuries including Rolex watches, designers cloths like Versace, jewelries.
The gang identified as
Festus Emosivwe, 36, jailed for 44 months
Charles Onwu, 31, jailed for 43 months
Victor Ngo, 30, jailed for 43 months
Molade Fasuyi, 37, jailed for 24 months
Olukayode Adepoju, 40, jailed for 19 months
pleaded guilty to the charges levelled against them.

Others sentenced alongside the Nigerians are
Adel Qadir, 35, jailed for 24 months
Pinelopi Chatzikonstantinou, aged 30, fined £1,000 and a £100 victim surcharge for conspiracy to convert criminal property.

Chloe Maylott, aged 27 years jailed for 16 months
The defendants committed the crime between May 2014 and July 2016 around Portsmouth area.
Prosecutor said the gang diverted BT customer’s email addresses to an account controlled by the group.
