Obaseki writes DSS, demands Oshiomhole’s arrest
Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki on Monday submitted a petition to the Inspector general of police and the department of state service.
In the petition sent to the security agency, Obaseki alleged that the All Progressive congress national chairman, Adams Oshiomole ignored lawful orders of constituted authorities.
The petition states that the APC chairman had consistently breached the peace of Edo state.
This came after the state government banned all organised political rallies in the state.
In August last year, Obaseki publicly accused Oshiomole of being responsible for the crisis in the chamber after the House of Representative ordered the Police and state security service to close down Edo State house of Assembly.
Obaseki writes DSS
Obaseki had said his predecessor needed to hear from all sides in the matter before taking sides.
In the statement released by his special adviser on media and communication-strategy, Mr. C Osagie.
Apart from the fact that he based his conclusion on a totally false and baseless premise, we believe that he could have shown that he didn’t have a vested interest by simply inquiring from his friend, the governor, directly, or any official of the State Working Committee of our party to what actually transpired.
Oshiomhole’s failure to satisfy the basic tenets of natural justice which makes fair hearing from all sides of a matter mandatory, has clearly exposed his bias in this issue”
