EFCC recovers four “Ghana must go” bag full of money in INEC office
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) stormed the INEC office in Gusau, Zamfara State this morning and recovered four Ghana must go bag full of money.
Four INEC officials at the INEC office were arrested and taken into custody.
The money is believed to be part of N84.6 million ad hoc staff allowance.
This is coming after the Zamfara State Presiding officers during the last general elections led by Abdullahi Nasiru sent a petition to the EFCC that adhoc staff were not paid N6,000 movement allowance for two elections.
The petition sent by the presiding officers alleged that Inec officials in Zamfara state paid the ad hoc staff the lowest compared to any other state.
