8 internet fraudsters arrested in Abuja, Expensive cars seized
Thirteen internet fraudsters popularly known as yahoo yahoo has been arrested by the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) in Abuja and Ilorin.
EFCC received a report about the flamboyant lifestyle of the suspects and their internet related activities.
The anti graft agency swung into action and arrested the suspects during a raid at their residence in No. 16 Isaaya Shukari Crescent, Gwarinpa, and C15 And A27 City of David Estate Abuja.
Valuables seized from the suspects includes luxury cars, mobile phones, laptops and other incriminating documents, International passports.
Cars recovered from the suspects includes Mercedes 4matic C350, Mercedes GLA 280, Mercedes C280, Lexus 15 250.
Five TASCE lecturers arrested in Ogun for Robbery
Five lecturers of the Tai Solarin college of education, (TASCE), Omu-Ijebu were arraigned at the magistrate court in Abeokuta for robbery.
The suspects identified as Seyi Akinola, Odunsi Omobolaji, Bakare Labake, Daniel Aborishade and Ember Oluwatobi were charged to court for Robbery, Assault and breach of public peace.
It was alleged that the suspects committed the crime between January and July 2019.
According to Ogun State police command spokesperson, Adekunle Opayemi, the suspects allegedly stole payment vouchers from the institution Audit department.
Opayemi further said the suspects hijacked the official car of the deputy provost of the institution with registration number OG06C0309.
Presiding over the case, Bolanle Adebowale granted the suspects bail in the sum of N5,000 with two sureties.
