Majek Fashek is very sick and receiving treatment in London – Manager
The Manager of the Nigerian reggae singer, Majek Fashek has revealed the singer is very sick and hospitalised in London.
Umenka Uzoma who has been managing the singer since his rehabilitation mental health and substance use disorder said the singer is receiving treatment at the queen Elizabeth hospital in Woolich.
It was widely speculated that the 70 year-old singer had died.
Uzoma said the rumour of Majek Fashek’s death in circulation is untrue.
258 Abia state polytechnic workers sacked after verification of certificates
The Abia state polytechnic has announced that 258 staffs of the institution will no longer work at the school again.
In a statement released to the general public, the public relation officer, Mrs. Chinyere Eze said the institution had reviewed the report of the verification of staff and their certificates, as approved by the state executive council in April 2019.
The statement said the reform is to position the institution to achieve its motto of “towards excellence in technology”, aswell as to create necessary environment for academic excellence.
The statement reads in part below
“Following painstaking verification and reviews, letters have been issued to 258 staff members whose services are no longer required by the institution.
All the affected staff are receiving full severance payment in line with their condition of service with the school.
