Burna Boy wins big at BET awards, see full list of winners

The 2019 edition of the prestigious BET awards was held yesterday in Los Angeles with the aim and vision of honouring African-Americans and other Americans minorities exceeding in music, Sports and acting during the year under review .

Cardi B was the Most nominated artiste at this year’s edition of the awards, she took the stage with her husband offset.

Mary J. Blige was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and Tyler Perry was presented with the Ultimate Icon Award.

Late music icon and businessman, Nipsey Hussle was awarded the Humanitarian awards for his community activism and efforts in underprivileged area before his untimely death on March 31st.

Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Damini Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy who rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing the lead single “Like to Party” from his debut studio album, L.I.F.E. won the Best International Art Category.
