At least 16 people confirmed dead in a battle that happened in two different local government areas of Rivers State, on Sunday.
The fight escalated with the introduction of cutlass, guns and many other weapon between Kono Boue and Gbam Boue people group of Khana chamber, while two people were slaughtered in Ishiodu town, Emohua people group, destroying many properties.
Christian Borlo-One, the community and development committee chairman said at-least 40 people were killed, some of them decapitated.
Rivers State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said the Police are aware of the incident, he said two people were killed in Ishiodu town and five in Khana.
However, we gathered that seven individuals were kidnapped at Khana chamber, while numerous properties were destroyed.
